Simply Accounting 2012 USING SCCM.

Hi

I need to deploy Simply Accounting 2012, to about 200 computers for Wednesday. I am wondering if any of you have successfully deployed this software using sccm. I looked the installer doesn't seem to have any useful unattended switches. Thanks to anyone that can give me a hand with this as I am under the gun.

I looked under the packages KB for any useful information on how to deploy this software silently, but could not find anything useful.

Does it extract an MSI? If not, why not capture it to an MSI?

Yes it extracts to an msi, but when installed with the msi it doesn't install many components or create many services the program needs. I tried to capture the install with EMCO msi maker, as well as advanced installer, both garnered the same result, the program didn't work because components and services were missing.

when installed with the msi it doesn't install many components or create many servicesThen you need to look closely at the MSI: its features and their components and what restricts what gets installed. It could be that the set-up stub installs components of its own but I think it's unlikely. A good guide to that would be if the stub is larger in size than the MSI. If it was only marginally larger, that would indicate that its only job is to extract and execute the MSI.
