Software metering

Hi Guys , 

I know i am bit old on this question , I need to track software usage using K1000 , i came across we can use software metering to find the usage  time .
Can anyone explain me from scratch , Im bit confused with this.

Any help is appreciated.

  • Like , they stated we have to create a manual label to add machines to it to apply metering . Im not sure why is manual label needed in this . - vinoth 5 years ago

To turn on metering you just need to enable metering on a manual label, that is like the "on switch." From there you are then able to select the devices or software from which you want to obtain the metering data. Also don't forget to configure your agent communications settings so that the volume of data associated with metering is managed correctly i.e. on a daily basis or similar
