Startup scripts

Hi,

What type of programs can be run from a system startup script? I've a utility program from sysinternals runs from cmd but it never makes any changes to the system. But it works fine if I install it manually or in logoff scripts.

Thank you.

Which program are you talking about?  During startup anything runs as system and also if you need to access any user area (file or registry) they do not exist at that point.

  • Auto logon from sysinternals. I'm able to write dummy log files to the file system during the script run time. - SnowLyric 11 years ago
