Superseding Adobe Reader DC1501020056 with DC1701220093 using SCCM/Configmgr

I wondering if anyone knows how to upgrade or replace Adobe Reader DC 2015 with DC 2017 using SCCM?
I have downloaded AcroRdrDC1701220093_en_US.exe and extracted the msi and generated the mst using the Adobe Customisation Wizard tool. However the GUID and ProductVersion is the same as the msi (AcroRead.msi) contained in AcroRdrDC1501020056_en_US.exe which I have installed currently and would like to remove and replace. I have just noticed that the AcroRead.msi is the same file in both versions, but there is a different msp with it that upgrades it. AcroRdrDCUpd1501020056.msp
Both the msi's contained in the two versions have the same properties as shown below:
ProductName: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
I usually add another application to SCCM and set it to supersede. But as detection methods are using the GUID which are the same for both products it's not going to work.
If I install AcroRead and then apply the msp and obtain the GUID from the machine it is install on it is still the same as mentioned above
How do I get the msp applied to bring the machines from 2015 to 2017?
Any help would greatly appreciated.

Sorry I misread your post. What I mentioned would be for initial install. For upgrade you can try this...
