Unable to load KACE website in Safari 9, is there a fix?

Hello.  Obviously, this issue is related to the beta release of OS X 10.11 (beta 8), El Capitan and it's upgraded version of Safari 9, so I've also got a bug report in with Apple.  However, it seems odd to me that KACE is absolutely the only website that doesn't seem to work and how the K1000 website behaves is completely crazy and affects the whole computer.  I would like to know if there's anyone who uses KACE AND Safari 9 who's found a work around for this issue or can at least better explain what's happening so that I can relate that back to Apple in my bug report.

The problem is that when you log into the K1000 website, as soon as the site tries to load a list of any kind, it just spins and says "Updating data" and it hangs.  Subsequently, the Mac gets more and more sluggish and any available space on the Mac is completely devoured.  I will lose about 50 GB over the course of 5 minutes after logging into the K1000 (which was all my available free space).  Force quitting Safari is the only remedy for this issue, unless available space gets down to 0 bytes at which point a hard restart is required.

This has been going on since the first beta and now we're on beta 8 and it's still an issue.  Absolutely no one will be able to upgrade to El Capitan after it's released unless this issue gets resolved.  Please help me help Apple figure out what's causing this problem.

Thanks.

UPDATE: Since both El Capitan has been released and Safari 9.0 is now available for Yosemite, this is a much bigger issue than it was when I first posted.  So, I hope Dell is working on sorting this out.  I know Apple has been continuously requesting additional information from me regarding my bug report.  It almost seems like it's an issue for Apple to sort out, since everything was fine in Safari 8 and previous... however... I can't help but to think it's because of some non-standard protocol that Dell is using.  Hopefully Apple and Dell can square this one away together.

  • No movement on this at all. Apple doesn't seem to have an answer and this is one more way that Dell has shown that their software is not as Apple-friendly as their non-Apple users would have you believe. - atoss 8 years ago

Another "me too" here, with Safari 9 and Yosemite. I find this true with nearly any list page that I call up through the KACE interface. The Activity Monitor confirms that it's the Safari tab with the KACE list page that is the problem. There have been a couple of times when the only way out of this was power-cycing my Mac. Things stalled to a point where neither the Activity Monitor or the MacOS three-finger salute (Cmd-Opt-Esc) would respond. I've never experienced this on any other site and, in general, it is extremely rare that a problem with one application can lock up the whole OS.

I now use Chrome exclusively to access lists on the K1000. Even that will sometimes crash the tab that the KBOX list was in, but it doesn't bring the whole system to a halt. (And those guys at Google get paid how much to come up with error messages that say, "Aw, snap!"?)

I wish I had an answer -- I don't -- but I can say I've seen exactly the same behavior on Safari 9.  I don't see it with every list page, though, just with pages that would return long lists.  This is in some ways worse, because I can use KACE for a while with Safari, but then I'll forget and do something like a search that returns a lot of results and the machine will grind until the drive fills up.  It's ugly.

Also like you, KACE is the only site / application I've found that does this.
