Using a K2000 RSA Having error message of no boot device found

Imaging Dell desktops at a remote site keep running into no boot device found. Some computers are using Legacy and some are using UEFI. On Legacy we are using on board nic, on UEFI we are using on board nic ipv4. Message will say possible corrupt image or wrong settings in the Bios. This is for a Windows 7 to 10 image. Any suggestions on Bios settings or information for imaging on remote site RSA's in the kace system? Any help or articles would be greatly appreciated.

  • Which version of the KACE SDA and RSA is used and when does the error occur? When booting the KBE or after distributing the image?

Systems with card readers can cause issues on older Versions of KACE SDA when attempting to create partitions, format the hard drive or boot to OS. Errors which might be observed are 'An operating system wasn't found', 'no media present' or 'no boot device'.

Maybe you can try to disable the SD Card Reader in BIOS. - Gerhart 4 years ago

I have found if you Uncheck the Secure Boot and put in Audit Mode while loading with the RSA. . This helps the UEFI boot afterwards.
