Using KACE 1000 and I have a batch script file that I need to run at a scheduled time. How do I set it and go back and find when the install completed?

I have a batch file that I have written up in the scripting area of KACE 1000. When I select my devices to deploy to and select run now it deploys successfully and I can view the status in the run now status section.

My issue is my I schedule that same script to run at a certain time it doesn't run nor can I see the status. What do I need to do to complete that task.

  • If the script isn't running on schedule, verify that it is set to run without a logged in user and that the machines were on when the script was scheduled to run. You should be able to see the log for the script on the inventory page for a device. Towards the bottom of the page under Logs, expand scripting logs. - chucksteel 4 years ago

Like Chuck said this is how ours is setup:

I created the script in K1000 script category, set it to enabled, and in the schedule part it is scheduled to run every day at 14:00. My mistake before was only adding a smart label to the script, and not setting a schedule on the actual script.

For finding info if the scripts ran these links have helped others in the past:

I haven't ran these, all of my scheduled scripts are now setup to a smart label.. So I can check the status if they've ran or not by the number of devices that are attached to the label still.
