VbScript to Update Ethernet Driver Automatically

Device Manager > Network Adaptors> Update each driver software. It should automatically search for latest driver and install it. Can someone help me writing a VbScript for the same.

  • Microsoft offers DPinst.exe on msdn as a solution. Mostly used in pre installation solutions, but you can also use it afterwards. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff544842(v=vs.85).aspx - KevinF 10 years ago
  • Thanks Kevin. I need to update only network drivers in my organisation automatically without any user intervention. For example , Is it possible to use DPinst.exe tool to automatically search online for latest network adapter and install it? - Hariharan 10 years ago
    • Is it possible you could *read* the article? Does it even *hint* that it might be able to do that?
