VNC remote connection via K1000

Hi All!

I'm using a KACE1000 and I need to add the remote connection feature to KACE. I have been heard that KACE supports Ultra VNC software. My question is how can I add this feature to KACE appliance? Unfortunately I didn't find any good quidance how to do it.

Under Scripting->Configuration Policy there is UltraVNC Wizard. I completed this wizard, but how exactly I can connect with remote computer throught KACE?

Many Thanks!

Andres

First install the vnc client on your target machines, including yours, either manually or using the wizard from the scripting module.  Then from within the k1000 admin interface go to settings>control panel>general settings>machine actions.  Create a new machine action for VNC Remote Control using host ip/name.  You will also need to follow the instructions in the knowledge base below to use the machine actions:

KACE is also remote control agnostic for the most part. It'll work with a number of different solutions. My company uses a product called Goverlan from PJ Technologies. It operates with a proprietary agent that can be deployed through the K1000 or as needed. Like VNC we can initiate remote control sessions right out of the inventory module. Evaluate your remote control software carefully and make sure it fits your needs.
