It is a Windows 2000 logo requirement, so it is expected that most new software being released will provide support before too long. A growing number of applications are being released with Windows Installer Support (as MSI installations) but still disappointingly few overall. This technology will likely receive more attention as operating system upgrades take place in the future. The technology is native to Windows 2000, ME and XP.
