Windows 10 feature update\Windows 7 to Windows 10 1903

I been messing around with the windows 10 in-place upgrade but I am getting not where. Is there a way to use the replication points to upgrade the clients at each location(19)? For the most part I don't need a precheck. I just need something to copy it over from the replication point at the site and then run the upgrade.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

  • Are you using the regular managed install KB method?

Be aware, this method requires the payload (the iso), to be pushed up front... an iso is around 4GB, by X amount of devices, that could cause issues if you don't stagger them.

If you are using replication shares, the devices will always grab the payload from their assigned replication share.

An easier thing to do, is to filesync the ISO into the device.

    Then execute the upgrade commands

    then remove the ISO.

This can be done with scripts and task chains. - Channeler 4 years ago

Hi, so what I am doing is using the KB that KACE support released (https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/kb/255380/windows-10-build-upgrade-deployment-walkthrough) but use this on top of that....
