Windows 11 and Choosing the OS

Built and captured a Windows 11 image from VMWare Workstation as the base image.  It is sysprepped and I have done everything that I did with all my other base images.

When I deploy this image to a new machine I am presented with the option to dual boot on 2 volumes.  What I am presented with looks similar to the pic below but it shows obviously Windows 11 instead of Windows 10 on both volumes, one just says Wndows 11 and the other says Windows 11 Volume 2.  I know Windows 11 isnt supported by the SDA just yet but I am wondering if anyone has run into this and what the fix was

This means that your partitioning task did not work and the disk was not fully wiped, try to see if my ITNinja article helps you.

  • This picture is a depiction of what I am seeing on client machines and I see it one on the older Dell Laptops, not on the newer ones. I see both volumes as windows 11 not windows 10 as this picture shows.
I am recapturing the base image and only capturing C this time. I usually capture S and C so we will see how this goes - ericdanuser 1 year ago
    • Yeah only C is needed, S was needed I think back in 1703, but since 1903 (windows 10) S is not needed anymore. - RandomITdude24 1 year ago
