Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications

I have setup all of our computers to do automatic update for Windows. However, periodically this appears and requires an attended installation. This is not at all helpful with the number of computers we manage. Is there a way around this, or a way to run it via Group Policy or something?

It is automatically downloaded but requires some user intervention to do the installation. I am wondering if there is a way to this in a quiet mode.

I am having the same problem. I've downloaded WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86.exe, and extracted the files. Two files are extracted (and a text eula): wganotifypackageinner.exe and wgasetup.exe. I've found instructions to run "wganotifypackageinner.exe /quiet /passive /norestart, which apperas to work. The update (KB905474) is listed in Add/Remove programs afterthis is deployed. However, when a user logs in, the "Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications - Installation Wizard"starts automatically (this is wgasetup.exe). How can the wgasetup.exe be silenced, or at least suppressed? The problem I have is that my workstations have received this update, and they are prompting the users with this installation wizard. To make things more difficult, we have Deep Freeze installed, which blocks any manual installation by the users.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
