To do a silent uninstall of GoToMeeting, you can add these strings to G2MInstaller.exe: /uninstall -silent

Note that the uninstall does not erase the GoToMeeting directory in Program Files\Citrix.

Note
Users seem to have two methods of accessing GoToMeeting sessions or webinars. The first is to use "www.GoToMeeting.com" and click on the "Join a Meeting"/"Host a Meeting". I have problems with this method because it prompts you to install an ActiveX control to install the GoToMeeting software. This is unnecessary because the second method of using the software is to launch the GoToMeeting software from your local PC. After you've installed the software, you can just open the program without accessing a web browser.

I repackaged the installation files into an MSI. If you go to 'Join a Meeting' at www.GoToMeeting.com, the site will prompt you to install their software. The "Download Software" will prompt you to download "G2M_Download.exe". At this point, I had my Wise SetupCapture ready to go, and I installed the application. The application only puts files into the [PROGRAM_FILES]\Citrix\GoToMeeting\366 directory. I created a shortcut on the All Users desktop and Start Menu to "G2MStart.EXE" in the 366 folder. This starts the software in the system tray. You can right-click on the icon to join/host. This method allows you to use the application without opening your web browser or installing the ActiveX.

i have finally been able to capture an offline installer for G2M that will work. this would need to be done every time they update the version in order to allow for offline updating. the batch file i use to run the install string doesn't change, just the files themselves.

"g2m_download.exe" downloads several files into the "%username%\appdata\local\temp" folder, creating a folder called "g2mXXXX.tmp". the XXXX is a random, two-byte HEX string that changes every time. in this folder are the following files:

g2m.dll
G2MCoreInstExtractor.exe
G2MIMessenger.dll
G2MInstaller.exe
G2MInstHigh.exe
G2MNotesAddin.dll
G2MOutlookAddin.dll
G2MOutlookAddin64.dllG2MResource_en.dll
G2MTestSound.wav
RootCert.dll
uninshlp.dll

after the download, the following command is executed (quotes need to be included in the command string for it to work):

the commands "/Trigger" & "/WebsiteUrl" open a browser window to the listed URL, and "-delself" deletes ALL files in the temp directory except "G2MCoreInstExtractor.exe". what i've found is that in order to capture these files, you have to either, 1) be ready to copy from the "temp" folder as soon as the downloads finish and before the install finishes, which is a window of about 30 seconds, or 2) utilize the UAC prompt in Vista/Win7 to copy the files off from another computer via network, while the UAC prompt is waiting for a confirmation to install (i use this method).

once you have the files, create a batch file with the install string listed above in it. i removed the last three commands as i don't want the files deleted and i don't need a G2M webpage opened. put the batch file in the same directory as the other installation files. i also added the following commands:

taskkill /im g2mcomm.exe /f
taskkill /im g2mstart.exe /f
taskkill /im g2mlauncher.exe /f

before the install command to kill any G2M services running, prior to the install.

using this method, i am now able to install G2M updates without having to use the downloader method every time.

Create this below as a .cmd file and you can push from SCCM. Just remove the "path" and add your UNC path to the installer. This cmd will also create an icon to the users desktop. Same thing add your UNC path to the G2M icon. This is for the must recent update if you use an older one or an another new one comes out you have to just change the 4 numbers here it is "1216' this will change every new release.
