Download from http://www.realnetworks.com/products/media_players.html. To actually get to the download page they want your email address, phone, etc but they do NOT use email to forward the URL for download.

** Notice the URL is realnetworks.com and not real.com
** realnetworks.com is for corporate/government and real.com is for Joe consumer

Current version in Sept 2005 is v6.0.11.1526

About:
The enterprise version is supposed to be free of most annoying features of the regular RealPlayer. "RealPlayer Enterprise player" is free but the "RealPlayer Enterprise Manager" is not. The "RealPlayer Enterprise Manager" is supposed to be used to generate custom packages of the "RealPlayer Enterprise player" for you and then remotely change settings and update the "RealPlayer Enterprise player" installed on machines on the network. This "remotely" business is overkill, IMO. This should have been a GPO thing but greed got into play. The "Manager" starts at $250 for 50 seats. For 4000 seats itÂ’s $2.80 per seat or about $11000!

BTW: If you do plan to use the 30 eval of "RealPlayer Enterprise Manager", any client packages created by it will function for only 44 days.

The installer is 100% Real proprietary technology. You can use the -s switch to launch silently but it will take over all file associations that it can and periodically check to make sure it stays that way! ItÂ’s a repackage job for sure unless you are happy that.

It used to be known as “RealOne Enterprise Desktop Player 6.x”
