Note
The Wacom tablet driver has some issues when the user "Application Data" folder is redirected to a network drive. The user is confronted with a "conflicting tablet driver versions" error when opening the "Tablet Configuration tool". This simply means the driver has some issues.

The problem is that Wacom uses a system service and two user processes to support the tablet. All settings are stored in the Application data folder of the user but the system service wants to write data there. This imposes no problems when the Application Data folder is stored on the local machine, but when it's stored on a network drive the SYSTEM user has no rights to the folder.

To solve this problem we created a script in Allusers\Start menu\Startup that creates the %APPDATA%\WTablet folder and sets Everyone full access rights on it:

Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

strDirectory = WshShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%APPDATA%") &"\WTablet"
strCaclsCmd = """" & WshShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%SYSTEMROOT%") & "\system32\cacls.exe"" """ & WshShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%APPDATA%") & "\WTablet"" /G Everyone:F /E /T /C"

set objShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

' Create folder:
Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

If objFSO.FolderExists(strDirectory) Then
' The directory already exists
Else
' Create folder:
Set objFolder = objFSO.CreateFolder(strDirectory)
' set ACL:
objShell.run(strCaclsCmd)
End If

On a first login of a user on the machine this script does it's magic. The tablet works the second time the user logs in.
