How to deploy Adobe Reader XI (11.0.4) with your K1000?

I was able to successfully push out with my K1000 Adobe Reader XI (11.0.4).  This is the script that used:

"$(KACE_DEPENDENCY_DIR)\AdbeRdr11004_en_US.exe" with params "AdbeRdr11004_en_US.exe /msi EULA_ACCEPT=YES /qn"

  • I have not tried it that way yet. We are new to the KACE products. We just purchased it about a month ago. I will try that to see if it works better that way. - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago

  • These are the parameters I normally used for Adobe Reader, it includes an option to remove the previous version.

    /sAll /rs /l /msi /qb- /norestart EULA_ACCEPT=YES REMOVE_PREVIOUS=YES DISABLE_ARM_SERVICE_INSTALL=1 - Timi 10 years ago

      • Just over time. You can also download Orca from Microsoft for free and it will allow you to open an MSI and discover the switches that are supported. You can get orca here. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa370557(v=vs.85).aspx

        You can also use some free utilities to convert an exe to MSI. MSI files in my opinion are a little easier to use. - Timi 10 years ago
      • I would also recommend attaining the license to distribute Reader from Adobe (it's free) and also checking their administrative guide:
