Adobe DreamWeaver CS4
I was able to install the CS4 silently but unable to suppress the AdobeAirInstall.exe dialogue. Upon launching the "\\server path\setup.exe --mode=Silent --deploymentFile=\\server path\install.xml" I get the dialogue box asking if i would like to RUN or CANCEL the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe?
Is there a way of suppressing the message box & installing the CS4 silently?

From what I've read here (of course, you already searched AppDeploy's 'Package KB' and its forums, right?) you need to stop a Custom Action from running. From memory, it's called 'InstallAdobeAir'. As usual, make that change in your transform, not the MSI, and rather than removing it, condition it out using an impossible-to-meet condition (I use 0=1).

Actually I've been struggling with the same package for quite some time now, on exactly the same problem.
Using the Adobe Deployment Toolkit I've created an AdobeUberInstaller.exe (lovely name) which triggers the whole installation, using a number of XML files.
One part of the install is to trigger AdobeAirInstaller.exe from the payloads folder on the network. I actually DO want to install this, so suppressing it is not an option.
Windows however seems to interpret this as running an executable from an "unsafe" location, and throws a dialog asking for confirmation before running it.
I've tried adding the network UNC path to my Trusted Sites, setting the "Include all network paths" for local intranet in IE settings, but no luck.
If anyone knows how to consistently supress these dialogs, do tell :)

Its not a trial version.
VBScab- I've read all the articles as well as the Package KB but nothing is mentioned about the warning that i am getting. I actually want to install the AdoneAirInstaller.exe its a part of the whole Dreamwaver suite but the only problem is getting the dialog box suppress. Its a security warning dialog asking me if i would either like to RUN or CANCEL the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe
Adding the network path to my Local Intranet & Trusted sites didnt work either. Any other suggestions guys?

It's a long shot, bit it's quite possible that the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe released in the Dreamweaver install was downloaded from some sort of website at Adobe and then placed into their package.
By default when an exe is downloaded from the internet an alternate data stream (Zone.Identifier) is stored in the file (most browsers do this), which results in the "Open File - Security Warning" that sounds like your experiencing.
There are addon's for Firefox to stop this being added during download (won't help you in this case) and several utilities on the web which will remove this.
One freeware utility is called ZoneIDTrimmer. I've not used this myself, but it sounds like it may help you out.

Packaging Adobe Air seperately was 1 of the options but i wanted it to be a part of the response *.xml file knowing how Adobe products are, i end up running the complete install of CS4 Locally. Instead of \\server path\setup.exe --mode=Silent --deploymentFile=\\server path\install.xml my command line looks something like this "C:\AdobeCS4 \setup.exe --mode=Silent --deploymentFile=C:\AdobeCS4\install.xml"
There is something about the UNC path that it doesn't like
FYI> I also tried %~dp0 but that wasn't successful either.
Thank You Michaelnowell, VBScab & others for sharing your expertise on this.
