Adobe Production studio silent install
Hi,
I've followed Adobe's instuctions at http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/332462.html to deploy Adobe Production studio Premium on our network.
It works, but there is one problem - it's too silent - there is no completion message at the end. Does anyone know of a way to have either a progress indicator or a completion message so that user is aware that the install has finished and they can then run the program?
Adobe's solution is to use taks manager or look at the start menu to see when the entires appear for Production Studio. Our workstations are locked down and students don't have access to the normal Start menu, so they can't see when the icons appear, nor can they run task manager to see wether setup.exe is running. So far, all I can do is tell them to watch the HDD activity LED!
I tried editing the adbsetup.cfg file in the Adobe Audition 2.0 folder of the installation files and changed <Args>/Q /c:"msiinst /delayrebootq"</Args> to <Args>/Qb+ /c:"msiinst /delayrebootq"</Args> to try to make the msi
engine show a completion message when installing Audition, but that did nothing.

Hi Ian:
unfortunately the xml file that you're talking about is using Silentmode parameter to make your installation silent and this parameter has only two options:
silentMode=1 (for complete silent installation)
silentMode=0 (that prompts the user)
I'll look for a workaround in this case and will let you know at the earliest.
