I work with databases and tables in the dbf format, recently earlier those reports which I should do Microsoft Visual FoxPro, my boss recommended to do in Excel. And so about what I, me allowed the job to finish the report of rtc01.dbf for one of our employees but when I tried to open it for me FP wrote an error: rtc01.dbf has become corrupted the table will need to be repaired before using again. Advise me as to me to recover it or than its can be opened. I understand that the question can seem to you stupid but I actually need your help, I the newcomer in operation with such format and this utility.

As a for repair .dbf file variant trynext step:

Copy a valid memofile over the corrupt memo file to access the database again. 

NOTE: The originalmemo field information will be lost unless the valid memo file was an exactbackup of the corrupt file. All memo field backup files have an extension of.TBK. 

The corrupt memofile will have an .FPT extension, such as OLD.FPT. In the following example,assume NEW.FPT is a valid memo file. To bypass the error message and access thedatabase again, type the following command at the MS- DOS command prompt:

Copy new.fptold.fpt
