AppDeploy Toolkit help - Do you folks use this for even basic MSI Files?

I'm wondering how many folks use the toolkit for every application and package in sccm regardless?  It seems to introduce more chances for false positives and errors in deployments when they should just use the MSI itself.

  • I use the toolkit for everything that's packaged in SCCM.

For me it standardises the user experience and the logging. In the past many times when we have had multiple people packaging applications the installation fails on some computers with no logs recorded. At least with the toolkit it has nice verbose logging. - sthompson02 3 years ago

We use the toolkit regardless. For us it kept the workflow consistent and added flexibility when deploying software.

We use the AppDeploy tool kit for basic MSI, AppV packages and .exe silent installation as well. So with this, we can give a processed and same output to the end-users.

With this toolkit, we can add the branding, prerequisite checks, the process kills etc.
