Contract Management

Hello, we are trying to figure out a way to input contracts, such as service, lease and maintenance contracts into KACE. Besides creating these as assets, are there any ways of doing this? Should I be looking for a separate program to manage these? What are some of your solutions to this? Thanks

Probably the best way to do this is through the Asset module. Just create a new asset type for Contracts and just create the fields you need to track for your contracts. Then whenever you need to add a contract you just pick that asset type and fill it in. Hopes this helps.

Use Assets. That is their purpose.

Assets worked really well for me on this. At minimum I'd create attachment fields, begin/end date fields, and link it to the vendors table. Field type is important so that when you want to create a report of say, contracts ending in the next 30 days and have them automatically emailed to you, if your field type was "date" it can easily be done, where if it's "text" you're up a creek basically.
