Custom Fields: Can you change the name of the custom field away from "CUSTOM_5"
Custom Fields: Can you change the name of the custom field away from "CUSTOM_5"? I do not see it in the web version management appliance app even when creating a new custom field. is this only done through directly the database via SQL developer, etc.?

You can not change the actual field name in the database, but you can change the name displayed in the output of your report.
Use an alias in your SQL statement.
select CUSTOM_5 as 'My name' from ...
