Custom Inventory Rule to audit Office 2010 64-bit installations

03/02/2013 3267 views

I'm trying to create a custom Inventory Rule to audit the computers on our network with Office 2010 64-bit loaded.

Outlook sets a registry key named Bitness of type REG_SZ on the computer on which it is installed. The Bitness registry key indicates whether the Outlook 2010 installation is 32-bit or 64-bit.

After reviewing other rules on here I came up with:

RegistryValueEquals(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Bitness, ,x64)

Where have I gone wrong?

You can also look for the file placement, is office installed in the "program files" directory or "program files (x86)" directory
