CutePDF

Hi,
I'm trying to run both CuteWriter.exe /silent and converter.exe /silent mode.
Cutewriter.exe runs as intended; however, the converter.exe keeps prompting
to download related files from the Internet. I understand the converter needs to access relevant site - www.cutepdf.com - to get those files.

I was wondering if there's any other switches that supress the prompt.

Thanks much,
bob

in my experience cutepdf needs ghostscript installed and could be what it's trying to get hold of.

I'm not a scripter but may myself have attempted to solve this problem by creating an all in one msi using WinINSTALL_LE or AppDeployRepackager or your favourite msi creation tool. Both these scan an empty machine, install the required software and machine rescanned to create an msi out of the differences... worth a go perhaps?

I once made a package that 'worked' but newer versions change the IE and FireFox start page. With that I stopped as this is AD supported, stopping the AD means we _should_ purchase the pro version, which isn't going to happen in our case.

If you want to install CutePDF silently there are some good articles here on appdeply:

Good Luck!
