Exchange resource issues

Our environment is currently running Exchange 2010 and we are currently in the process of upgrading our staff from office 2007 to office 2013. We've installed Office 2013 to a couple for computers so far and noticed that when users book and mailbox and a resource, it is not automatically accepting the requests. This was working for 2007 but not for 2013. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Is it a compatibility issue with Office 2013 and Exchange 2010.

there are only 3 features in outlook 2013 not supported on exhange 2010

Exchange Administrators can make specific apps for Outlook available to their end-users.
Data Loss Protection capabilities help you protect sensitive data and inform users of internal compliance policies.
Site mailboxes improve collaboration and user productivity by allowing access to both SharePoint 2013 documents and Exchange email by using the same client interface.

it maybe some of the functions you are using are no longer available in office 2013 see below

  • You're right we were using a direct booking method when we upgraded from exchange 2007 to 2010. We had change to mailbox's we used for direct booking to Room Mailbox so that the auto attendant came accept and deny requests. Thanks again for your help. - kemar2k 7 years ago
