  • If you go the that software in the inventory, does it have an uninstall command somewhere in the info? Should look something like MsiExec /X {d120371y291880123809} - areiner 10 years ago

look at the registry under hlkm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall for the avasti keyset and use the uninstall string listed there

  • Once you have that, you can use a computer smart label to target your uninstall. Or, you could just add the machines manually.

Bear in mind that you will probably also have to stop services before you can uninstall: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=47354.0

Avast has a tool that is supposed to work as well: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

If it can be run from the command line, you should be able to deploy it from the K1000. - jknox 10 years ago

Trick is that you have to use the uninstall parameters of corporate version to uninstall the Free version. If you try to search the google to uninstall the Free version you will not get the correct parameters. Further, you can use the smart label and distribution of Kbox to achieve this with correct uninstall parameters
