How to use Portable apps via the Kace 2000 KBE

I have seen something on this before but I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction on how to make portable app into my KBE enviroment so my users can use it to attempt to repair machine instead of refreshing the system.

Any help would be awesome on how to set this up!

Thank you

you can edit the boot.wim file and add your apps to it.  Using the KBE_man choose add features and use that boot.wim file with your tools that you want included.

  • Can you give me a bit more information? Sorry I am just getting into the Kace 2000 realm so I am still very new to some of this. Thanks - mmeyer@vu.com 11 years ago
  • What extra apps are you trying to add?
on your tech station with the WAIK installed on mount the boot.wim and place your apps (exe's, bats, vbscripts, powershell scripts, etc) in the system 32 directory and commit your changes, unmount that wim file and them use the KBE manipulator to upload that as an KBE. One of t he prime uses for me was to add the cctk app to the boot so I could change the bios in winpe. Which is a built in feature of the KBE_man

See this Blog, it is from the creator of the KBE_Man.
