A few years ago for a national Canadian phone company had me evaluate several desktop management solutions including Radia before it was owned by HP. Since it did not fit into the requirements for the company (they would have to throw out SMS) it did not make the short list. Giga and Gartner had very good impressions of the product and mentioned its stability. The downside of the product was the price, obscurity and complexity of the product. I am not sure if the pricing has changed on the product but it is still one of the more rare solutions out there so finding expertise and peer support could be difficult. I have yet to run into a Radia implementation in my adventures.

I had a similar expereince with an international O&G company a couple of years back, when Novadigm owned and developed the product. I found it to be sofisticated, over priced and better suited to a company with >25K seats, as they can distribute the costs over a larger group of users.
Finding experienced Radia skill sets would be next to impossible in Canada. Implementing the solution would require a large number of skilled Radia resources, for a long duration. I have seen a number of other software distribution systems that worked well for companies, meeting most of their requirements, access to a local pool of skilled resources, etc......
Now to covey this in a manner that doesn't result in a Career Limiting Move....
