Java 1.4.2 Install woes?

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to upgrade a number of machines with the MS JRE and Sun JRE v1.4.2_02 to the current version, Sun v1.4.2_07.

I'm calling the installer with the following command line, as per sun docs:
start /wait j2re-1_4_2_07-windows-i586-p.exe /s /v"/qn ADDLOCAL=ALL IEXPLORER=1 NETSCAPE6=1 MOZILLA=1 JAVAUPDATE=0 WEBSTARTICON=0"

Typically the installation of the JRE will run ok, but the Internet Explorer plugin does not install! Has anyone had this problem, or knows a way to manually install the plugin so I can capture an error?

Isn't the public property for the Internet Explorer plugin: IEXPLORE=1

ie: drop the R at the end?

Sorry, I was wrong. The property IS IEXPLORER=1.

So, are you trying to say that when you go into the Java Plugin Control Panel applet, the option for Internet Explorer is not checked?

Under which user account are you installing the Java software? Is the IE Java plugin enabled for this account and not for any other user accounts?
