KACE IMAGING PUSH

hello all-

whats the right way of imaging in kace 2000, i started using a couple months ago what i realize is whenever i push an image out i still the previous files or folder from the computer is there a way i can format the hard drive before imaging the machine. any help would be greatly appreciated.

use the pre install commands to repartition and format the drive prior to imaging

  • ...also under System Image Detail > Deploy Options there is a box for "Remove local files not in image". I think it's best to partition and format the drive fresh every time you image but hey this option is there. - jegolf 7 years ago

most of my station are running windows 7

there is a windows 7 format disk is that the only one you are using or can i just add format C: as NTFS and create single Partition

thanks Smal.tmcc i am not doing any deployment yet just straight deployment of an image what settings to you have for your system image

ok thanks for the screenshots in my system image should i only haverst the D Drive or should i have to select C and d

  • you need to dump the c partition in you images, works much smoother.
    if you want to keep the system partition you need different precommands see:
