KBOX 1100 License

I originally bought 450 agent licences. Im fast approching that total and Ive ordered another 100. Question is when I reach the 450 installed agwents and I try to install more I realise they wont check in but if the agent is installed and I then increase my licence to 550 will the pc's with the agents installed that havnt been able to check into the KBOX 1100 do so automatically or am I better to deploy the agents after the license upgrade ?

Thanks

It'll take care of itself automatically when you increase the node count on your license. The agents have no idea that the server is at capacity, they'll just keep trying to check-in the entire time.

Hi Airwolf,
Thanks for the reply. Ive upgraded the 100 by 100 extra licences but only 6 or approx 50 machines that have the agent installed while the licence was @ 450 have checked in. I can ping a lot of the others but they are in a remote office. Anything I can do to force them to check in?

Thanks

I had a similar issue once and did the quick and dirty route of doing an uninstall by subnet and then the following day doing a reinstall. This was probably not the best way to handle it, but it worked.

Rebooting the machines may help. I'm not sure if the agent eventually gives up at some point or not. You may have to reinstall on all of those machines.

We've run into the license limit before and the client eventually re-connects after upgrading the licenses. Since our computers are shut down at night the reboot may have helped.

Is this the same as the Agent "Run Interval"? If so, it's set to 15 minutes. Our biggest problem is 85% of the computers I manage are remote users.
