Keane Care / Active X, missing files
I'm sure this is a program that none or extremely few of you have ever heard of, but i'm at my wit's end with this...
I have tried repeatedly to package this application with Wise Package Studio and now with Software Virtualization from Altiris. After a LOT of work, i keep running into the same issue. An Active X error (429) that seems to be specific to the program and a connection to SQL.
I guess my first question is that for some reason, an entire subdirectory that is supposed to include about 30 .ocx and about 40 .dll files gets created during the install of the .msi, but is completely empty. I've checked the .msi and all the missing files are included in the install, but never show up. I'm at a complete loss to explain why...
Second, i'm pretty sure this is tied together somehow with the Active X error (which I only get after manually copying all the missing files into the directory).
Has anyone ever seen anything similar to this, or have a direction to point me in? I've hit a brick wall...

i can only wish they had an MSI...we're working with health care applications here. they don't really care about how we have to get them distributed...they still think that doing an update by re-running the workstation setup on every pc is a good idea [:D]
there are numerous merge modules, but i'm not very familiar in toying with them. it uses crystal and some db ones.
