It is a native msi from the vendor. It installs a service and also some ActiveX controls depending on your environment. It doesnt need repackaging.....just an MST to tidy up any loose ends.

What do you mean it needs a service? what specific service and what active x controls are you refering to? How would I go about making the MST with Wise 4.6.2?

thanks for you help!

I was just saying that its a pretty straightforward vendor msi which installs a service and some ActiveX controls. No big worries with it.

If you want to alter the installation just run the Install Tailor tool in Package Studio and make your changes there. Remove shortcuts etc etc.

When I get back to work on Monday I'll take another look but from memory I didnt see any worrisome files included in the installation at all. The only dll's it installs are Lotus specific and most of them are going to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Lotus anyway.

There was a few dll's being installed to System32 but they wont affect anything and can be either installed there or siloed to the MNotes folder.
