Office 2003 downgrade via Altiris.
I have been tasked with downgrading about 200 PC's from Office 2003 pro to standard.
I have created a sequential job that first runs msiexec /x {90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9} /qn
That removes Office 2003 pro. Then I run the install package for office 2003 Standard.
On a clean PC with no user it works fine.
The problem is if people have any Office applications open it fails.
So, question is....Am I going about it the easiest way and if so how can I close office apps before the job starts.
