I have done it with the free Repackager of InstallShield:

I have successfully packaged quicktime using an INI file to get the user values required for TIFF ETC- what problems are you having?

Basically I am using InstallShield 6 repackager in Instal Monitor mode.
It seems to go well and I customise the settings and grab the changes.
The problem is though when I wipe the machine and then goto apples site to test quicktime all I get is a icon (not the cross icon) in the space where it should be playing the movie.
How should I do this all?
Snapshot mode then run the install + ini and capture changes?

Cheers for the help m8

yeah that's basically how i did it with a snapshot but I put the Quicktime.ini in the same directory as the exe and it picked it up with all the entries that i wanted

sounds to me like the assocs are up the spout - but it's been 8 months since i did it and i do not have the MSI to refer back to unfortunately

also you could take a look at a previous post

Wow! I didn't know that they offer this for free! I thought it's just a part of AdminStudio. What other standalone softwares do they have?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
