Registry Scan

Hello,

I'm trying to find out how many users have enabled the "Suggest names whilst completing To.... Cc.." within Outlook. I know that if enabled the following registry entry value = 1 HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\ShowAutoSug.

Can I run/write a report in KACE to retrieve this information.

Please advise

Thanks, Steve

Yes. Setup a custom software inventory item to pull the value from that registry key by using the RegistryValueReturn() function. You'll then be able to report on all machines as to whether it is enabled/disabled.

Take a look at the Custom Fields video is the Getting Started series on the KBOXbyKACE YouTube channel:

Six minutes, and it shows you how to write the Custom Inventory Field and create a report on the value returned.

Great link! I did not even know they had videos on YouTube. I also did not realize you could create Custom Inventory Fields like so. I seen it listed in the reports section before, I just did not know what it was for or how to do it.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
