Removing files from a package

What is the easiest way to remove a large amount of files from a package?

I use WinInstall 8 and have found if I just delete the files from the files list the package won't deploy because the components still exist. However to remove the components and the files by selecting the component and deleteing them one at a time seems labourious.

So far the best way I have found is to remove the entries for the files on bulk from the .nai file and reconvert it to an msi. The problem with this is if an msi is then edited and I need to remove a large amount of files in this manner I then have to edit the msi again.

I would be interested in what other people are doing in this department.

Yeh I do the same, delete from the NAI and reconvert to MSI, I don't think there's any reason for not doing this (?) other than the reason you mention.

I prefer making all changes in the NAI and converting, where possible.
