Report on Agent Connection and Disconnect

Hello,

I'm trying to create a report for a supervisor that would like to track a computers connection and disconnect time for 3 weeks.

I've been trying to use the report wizard and am having no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's Vista or Win7, it's tracked in the security event log: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ericfitz/archive/2008/08/20/tracking-user-logon-activity-using-logon-events.aspx

This might be able to be used as well: http://msmvps.com/blogs/kwsupport/archive/2005/02/24/36942.aspx

A record of that info is not kept where you can run a report on it. You could possibly do a custom inventory on some of the logs at %allusersprofile%. Are you just wanting to get something that would show computer usage?

  • The supervisor would like to track daily when her employees are logging on the computer and logging off each day for the next three weeks. I can get the uptime but I the supervisor wants the exact time of when they are at work and when they leave. - jkeister 11 years ago
    • I've used this before in the past. It would also be more accurate than the AMP connection as far as which user.

The Asset history has a recored of the last logged in user and when that changes but I don't think you can use that effectively because of  the check in interval and that is when that information woudld be updated.

If you are good at scripting you might be able to run a script at user loggin and pull data on who logged in into a text file and keep that running and parse though it.

Kace isn't designed to keep track of your employee time sheets as the supervisor is "hinting" at but maybe someone has had some success.
