Сan some one help me to open my pst file which I had cut copied while moving on to new Laptop, now I cannot open this file in outlook 2010. I tried repairing the file using scanpst and other demo version from kernel and other software... most of them say "not a valid pst file" Please help me as the date in this pst is important.

Well, if you want to view content of PS file then you can use a free PST viewer application, there are plenty of tools available online. I got one here http://www.freepstviewer.com/ there are various other available. Well it says if the PST file corrupted then also it will repair it first and then showcase its content.

Try it as its absolutely free of cost and so share your experience.

Was the PST file from Outlook 2010 originally?
Is the original file still available on your old laptop?
How did you migrate the PST file.  You need to start outlook on your new machine first, as this will create the default PST. You then need to copy over your old PST and ADD it as another data file. Then make the old file the default PST for future use.
Just copying the file over then starting outlook will not work.
