self repair not occuring

self repair not occuring while first time invoking the shortcut of the application in the power user mode .

i am facing this problem in one of my application while packaging . please provide me the solution.

Check to see if you have Key Paths set for all the files.
Self repair occurs only if there are any missing key paths.
Files that go to User Profile should use Registry in HKCU as key path.

Also, the shortcut needs to be advertised. A normal shortcut will not trigger the self-repair check, and no self-repair will occur.

One other possibility... if you can't get your shortcuts advertised properly...

Look into creating an ActiveSetup registry key in which you set the StubPath value to make the MSI self repair.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
