Symantec AntiVirus 10.1.6.6000 options

I am trying to see if there is a way to customize an MSI install of this client to disable the Internet E-Mail Auto Protect & Microsoft Exchange Auto-Protect features. I am new to Wise Package Studio and am not sure if this is an option I can change. Our servers are setup to change this feature but want to have this set "out of the box" if possible but if there are any sort of switches or registry settings I can insert into the MST, it would be ideal.

If anybody can be of assistance, I would appreciate it!

Ben

Hi.
If you have the Corporate version of Symantec Antivirus it included an "Symantec Application Packager" program so you can customize the settings and it will create a MSI. You should not need to create an MST with Wise Package Studio, just use the MSI file the "Symantec Application Packager" has created.

If you don't want to use the Symantec Application Packager program you could always juts make sure that in your transform the OutlookSnapIn and Pop3SMTP features are set to never be installed.

Symantec are usually quite smart with there installs.

I would suggest you check the condition table as they often look for installed items and enable a feature during install regardless of wether it is set not to install or not.

whilst on the topic the XML file on the source can be used to configure the firewall settings as well if you are using them
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
