Upgrading a server install of Wise Package Studio to 5.6
I have currently taken over a team where they have Wise Package Studio 5.1 installed, but it is done using the complete install to the server. The packagers only have a client version which points to the sharepoint for file storage and the shortcuts point to the location of all the executable files.
I would like to upgrade the system to 5.6 using the same method. What all steps do I need to do in order to get 5.6 set up with the new files out on the shared directory so that it uses the same existing software manager database and the same sharepoint?
Also, will there be a new client deployment that must go out?
Thanks for the help.

Have you read the getting started guide that comes with it? It's pretty useful..
You will need to do a complete install to a new network location - and should be able to use the existing sharepoint and SQL databases without any problems... Once you've done this packagers will need a fresh client install for v5.6 but you can setup silent installs etc - the 5.6 installer comes in .exe and .msi format, both of which support command line switches.
This is all detailed in the getting started guide [:)]
Cheers,
Rob.

Thanks for the help.
The getting started guide does tell how to set up this type of deployment of the software, but doesn't mention anything about upgrading. Now that I know I can just install the new version to a new location and use the same database, I'll go ahead and set it up as if it was a fresh install.
I just didn't want the new install to screw up the database and sharepoint that I already have established.
