Using setACL.exe resetting permissions
Hello all ... I am trying to reset the NTFS permissions using setACL.exe with in a script. For some reason the protect switch doesn't seem to work or I am using it the wrong way.
I can set the permissions correctly and it works, problem is I need to have different permissions at the Documents and Settings folder, which I basicly want to take it back to the default settings. Problem is the permissions keep inheriting permissions from the higher folders. I thought that the protect switch would prevent these changes to the "other" folders when selected. The only way I can figure out how to do this is to make the changes and then go back and make the changes to the documents and settings folder once the other permissions are set.
Any help on this would be greatly appricated...
Thank you,
