Visio service pack question

Can anyone tell me how to slipstream the Visio service pack into my current Visio msi?
Does anyone have a good documentation for a beginner?
Thanks so much in advance.

first extract the patch file from your hotfix .exe file... you can do this using winzip.. right click the exe then select winzip then extract.. you should be getting some hotfix_name.msp

now create an admin install point for Visio using its setup.exe
setup.exe /a
follow the prompts and choose a different install directory as this will be your admin package

apply the patch you extracted to the admin install package
msiexec /a "adminpath/msi file" /p "patch file" /qb-

hope this helps [8D]

I tried it but it won't work.

This is what I did. What am I doing wrong?

msiexec /a c:\wise.share\projects\visio standard 2003\visstd.msi /p d:\visio2003-kb840663-fullfile-enu.exe /qb-

Thanks.
