Want to see if there is something I missed

Hello, I have a simple off-the shelf app to recapture, but instead of a master license, I am trying to drop a file in the program directory. Each file, needs to be has the username, and specific license and key included in the simple text file.

I originally was hoping that I could make a two column table with the username and keys, and have WPS pick up the current logged on user, and pick the appropriate user name and license to append into the text file. Never doing this before, I thought it would be possible. I am not a strong scripter, so I was trying to avoid this, but now it appears to me, that I will have to write a wise script, to look at the logged-in user, and have it resolve and match user names and then append the blank text file that I wll drop during the recapture.

If anyone knows an easier way, or can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Use active setup.
Ensure proper rights have been granted to the file you're attempting to update.
echo %USERNAME% >>C:\program files\myappname\Myfile.txt

or

echo %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\myfile.txt
