WMP not working for users, Enabled in AD Group Policy

Windows media player does not work for users who log in. They can see the icons and click it but the hour glass shows up a second then nothing happens.
It should all be enabled in Group policy but still doesn't work.

I don't know, perhaps a hint:
is wmp trying to connect to the internet perhaps?

Proxy?

Check that, perhaps that helps.

ok, i don't know.
are you users connected to a domain?
If yes, did you try to run the application with a local user with NO adminrights?

Log in as an admin and run it...then log out and login as a user and try it.

If it runs as an admin but not a user then might have a permission issue.

How to solve the permission issue so the user can run the app
