This is one of those weird applications where the vendor packages an MSI with a legacy custom installer that does not except any switches. The installer unlocks the data after you enter in your unlock code and it also runs the MSI and passes it the required properties depending on how you answer the setup program.
The best way to manage this application is to install normally on your test workstation. This will get you the application data that you can place on your network for all users of the application to access.
On the installation CD you will find a file called ClientSetup.exe for the application that will install the MapMarker desktop program. Run this program and it will extract a scripted install MSI to your temp folder. You will need to modify the following properties either by modifying the original MSI or using a transform.
JVM_PATH=path to your Java runtime environment installation.
You do not need this property if you wish to use the JVM that comes with the program. It currently is an early release of 1.5 that could have possible security risks.
One problem with not using the version that comes with the program is that if you upgrade your JVM you will need to modify the geojni.cfg to point to the new JVM installation.
MI_DATAPATH=this is the path to the data that was saved to a network share or other location. You can point this to the local workstation but you will have to somehow copy all the data during your install.
