Can Ris extract data from the hard drive?

I'm needing to develop a new process for installing XP Pro in my company. One of the requirements I have is the ability to extract data from the user's computer before RIS formats the drive.

My users save data in their "my documents" and that data must not be lost when performing a RIS installation.

I've aware of using either RIPREP or the USMT, but can these tools run in the PXE environment?

If so, how???

Saw a similar post on this earlier today at www.usmt26.com, something about manipulating the active partitions on your pc. Maybe it addresses your question.
